Majesty, Glory & Honor • Sermon Series
Majesty, Glory & Honor:
Pastor Allen Jackson invites us to a heightened imagination of what it means to be a Christ-follower. Attending church, being religious, and having a heightened moral sense are fine, but they aren’t adequate representations of what it means to be in a relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Using Ephesians 1:3-10, Pastor Allen outlines seven promises God has been pleased to extend to us, as His children. He then discusses our journey through time, what Christians can expect along that journey, and how the Holy Spirit provides personal spiritual guidance the entire way.
Majesty, Glory & Honor - Prepared & Equipped:
You can choose to serve the Lord, or you can choose to serve yourself. Pastor Allen Jackson discusses being prepared and equipped to continue serving the Lord in the season ahead. He talks about the role of prophecy in biblical times and today. He outlines the characteristics of those who fall away from the Lord (apostasy) and those who remain faithful until Jesus returns (the remnant). In the end times, lawlessness and deception will continue to escalate. Pastor Allen encourages us to submit our lives to God’s authority, reading the Bible and praying so we gain God’s perspective on the world and eternity.
Majesty, Glory & Honor - King & Kingdom:
At the end of the day, the story of the Bible is about a King with a kingdom. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the fact that Jesus is King, and His kingdom is coming—This is what gives us the courage to endure, sustain, and overcome. He talks about the challenges that will come prior to the return of Jesus, and what to expect as we move forward, including false doctrine, intolerance, threats, and lawlessness. God called us for this specific season, and how we respond matters. May it be said that we loved the Truth, that we gave ourselves to the Lord, and that we pleased His Spirit.
