Do Not Be Surprised - A Spiritual Battle

We can learn much about today’s challenges by studying history. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Peter and other early Christians, who endured significant spiritual battles as they suffered, were persecuted, and even died for their beliefs, which were considered to be radical at the time. If early believers had yielded to the religious pressures of their era, it would have been fatal to our faith. Similarly, we must stand firm in our faith, without compromise, so future generations will know the truth about Jesus of Nazareth, the Savior of the world.

Do Not Be Surprised - A Mental Battle

The battle we’re facing isn’t new. The early Church persevered through major theological and culture conflicts, and the same struggle continues today. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the battle in our minds, and the confusion and relativism that currently plagues the world, and the Church. As we study the early Church heroes, watching them stand firm in their faith in the midst of their crooked and depraved generation, we gain strength to continue to do the same today.

Do Not Be Surprised - A Physical Battle

The early Church endured great physical trials as a result of their faith. Even though persecution, physical torture, and imprisonment came to many of the first believers, the Church thrived and expanded. Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the obstacles the first Christians and the Jewish people endured, and how they speak into to our current struggles. The challenges we face today are not new, and if we are faithful to God, He promises to lead us through.
